Looking to get a new amp: Need Recommendations

GeneHilbert	Date: May 7, 2006 @ 12:45 PM I love questions like this..... Go to the stores and try things out. Pog is correct here, there are way to many choices, and to many variables. If history is and guide the Ampeg VST and the Acoustic 371 have been rock staples. Hartke, Trace Elliot, Bassman and Carvin are good choices. Availability and your budget will dictate. If it was me I would save my money and buy the best possible rig I could afford or get whatever I can find that will work for now and save every damn dime until I could buy my dream rig. Which for me would be a combo of the afore mentioned Hartke and Acoustic 371.

zedsalt	Date: May 8, 2006 @ 11:31 AM We're talking bass amps here, so it would probably be a bad place to continue mentioning Reverend guitar amps in my lame attempt to get a freebie, wouldn't it? Yeah (one of the models with a Schizo switch is what I'm after), I thought so (...even the little 5/15 watter would be cool), so I won't do it.
