poor man's practice amp

Snoogans775	Date: February 7, 2007 @ 2:17 AM I figured out a really effective way to "amplify" my bass, considering my usual amp is too loud for practicing, and doesn't sound good at lower volumes. I just sit down at my desk(big wooden desk), and stick the the butt of my bass against a shelf, and the bass tone vibrates through the whole desk, and it makes a very pleasant practice tone, though it adds a little flange effect.

Snoogans775	Date: February 7, 2007 @ 7:17 PM I figured the deeper bass tones were the essential part I'm considering buying a pkm from radioshack and making a contact mic so I can hear how the desk affects the tone.
