You need to know how to make patterns that are listener friendly and not repetitious so that people get bored after one listen. It can’t just be bass and percussion… It can just be verse and hook… You have to blend everything you know and as many melodies as possible without making it seem overwhelming…. Yea… Basically, it’s really easy….

TransAutobot	Date: May 10, 2005 @ 6:28 PM Thats really how you learn though, through immatation and you grow from that. lol anyways Basics.. like he said kick snare hats and crashes... Get to know the program your workin with and try different stuff out. If it sounds good add it, if not trash it. Thats the hard part though. Sometimes you might have something in ur beat that might sound bad like drums arent as good as they should be on a track... gotta change em.
