disinstallation problem with cakewalk
electricstar

I did a very stupid thing: I installed
temporarely a modem and its voicemodem driver.
Then I disinstalled it and this caused some
problems to my win/soundcard drivers
configuration.
For some reason when I started cakewalk a small
dialogbox appeared saying that drivers or
soundcard device were in use by some other
program and asking if a wanted to disable them.
Unfortunately I had the bad idea to click yes.
Now my soundcard doesn't work anymore. I tried to
disinstall completely the drivers and reinstall
them but i always get that yellow circle
on my AWE64 gold 16bit audio and on AWE64 Gold
wavetable in control panel.
Does anyone know how can I solve this problem?
Thanks.

I would go to the Creative LAbs site and download
the most recent driver and install it. Then go to
your properties of the device and see if it's
being used, if not just click "use this device"
or "enable" and save. You may just want to check
to see if it's enabled since you disabled it. The
when you have that done go to your cakewalk
optinons and designate the sound card to the
software.

It might be as easy as options/audio/general/wave
profiler .

Yeah, that happened to me too. I still don't know
what to do. The only output sound I have now goes
through MobilePre and my computer doesn't use to
soundcard. It's lightly annoying.
