trying to decide which app to get..

ok..

so i've been making electronic music for a while. I've used reason and FL primarily. I'm thinking about trying out some others soon, but there are so many that i don't know where to start.

The thing that is most important to me is how well the piano roll is designed. Since i program a lot of complicated shit, it's really important that the sequencer is really efficient. I don't like to use reason very much because the piano roll is a bitch.
Sometimes I can't get my ideas out in time and it can be really irritating.

I think that FL has a great piano roll, but it lacks some features that I imagine more advanced programs such as sonar might have.

so does anyone know where i should start looking?
