The Audition

GTOriginal	Date: July 17, 2006 @ 7:12 PM A man walks into a TV studio to audition for a new comedy series. He is introduced to the manager of the station, who conducts the interview. "The person we are looking for must posses a variety of talents", said the manager. The candidate assured him that he was quite versatile. "Well, can you sing?" asked the manger. The candidate began to lay out a few bars of a famous broadway song, and it became apparent that he had a golden voice. "Splendid!" exclaimed the manager, much more interested now. "Tell me son, can you dance?" The candidate stood and preformed an impromptu tap routine that blew the manager's mind. "Bravo!! I think we may have something here, my boy! Tell me, how are your acting skills?" The candidate began an impromptu production of Shakespeare's Hamlet. The manager was astounded. "Son, I'm willing to hire you for the starring role right now!" said the manager. "What is your name?" "Uh... well", said the candidate, clearly embarassed. "It's like this. My parents were hippies, and they did a lot of weird drugs, so they gave me a rather bizarre name". "Oh come on, that doesn't matter my boy!" exclaimed the manager, clapping him on the back. "We can always give you a stage name. With your abilities, I'm gonna make you a star no matter what your real name is. Now, out with it". "M-m-my name is Erection Van Lesbian", said the candidate. "Wow that is a doozy I say!", replied the manager. And so began the career... of Dick Van Dyke.
