I thought this was a place to share ideas' and get feedback based on your work not someone elses. Sorry, if I've offended anyone but this is something thats been bugging me
PaulMcClelland	Date: January 23, 2005 @ 11:09 AM ...I used to have the same opinion, but softened it somewhat when I figured that a cover song is ok (every once in a while) as long as it is identified as such, so folks out there aren't under the impression you wrote the thing. I like posting original material myself, but every so often I run into a situation, like Susan Griffin, who worked with me on "Grow Old with Me", a John Lennon cover. She does not write original songs, but her interpretations are beautiful, and worthy of sharing with the dmusic community. Or a novel re-working of a cover tune...there are a few reasons, in my opinion....PMcC
