when recording with cool edit pro

when recording with cool edit pro, if u make a
mistake is it ok to stop go to the next track
line and continue recording your vocals from
where u left of or are u sapose to do it all in
one take?

that's the beauty of digital recording on the
computer - take as many tracks as you like and
you can comp them all togther at the end.

Cool edit pro has and excellent feature used by
most recording studio techniuqes known as
"Punch-in" you can pickup where you left off in
the same track by high-lighting the area you
sould like to record over. then go to the edit
drop down and select "punch-in" Place the Line
Marker maybe 1 measure ahead and press rhe record
button. only the area you selected will be armed
for recording. Start singing your vocals exactly
identical as soon as you pickup on them and
continue with the correction through the
selection and it will automatically insert your
new voice in perfect time and erase your mistake.
