problem with my dsp2000c-port!!

my midi keyboard send midi to the sound card
...and the soundcard send midi to a synth(nova)
...the synth's audio outputs is connected to the
soundcards audio unbalanced inputs(dsp
2000c-port)....whenever i play a midi
note(message)..a click noise can be heard and
some kind of distortion ...these noises have low
level ...but if i drive the preamps can go -40
.....please !!! somebody help!!!!

Not sure about this. That's a pretty high end
card. I'm assuming though that there is
interference from the midi trigger.(too obvious I
know) Have you tried switching cables? Maybe you
could try using an alternative midi port Maybe
using a usb-nidi interface. I would try replacing
the cables first though. Mic and midi cables.
