A simple little answer will help me tremendously

OK im new with FL Studio and im coming along just
fine but theres one thing that is driving me
crazy with the pad synths. I'll try to line up a
pattern using a Pad sample (like PAD_FullCell)
and I can't get smooth transitions between the
different notes. Can somebody please tell me how
I can get the Pads to blend with eachother
instead of them just playing on top of one
another? its driving me nuts!

this may not be the easiest way but anyway...
make a seperate channel for each note/chord you
want the pad on, and play each note/chord all the
way through the length of the bit u want pads on.
then click on the misc tabs of each channel and
right click the 'volume' knob and edit events. in
the edit event window have each channel at 50%
when you want it playing and 0% when another
channel is playing. this way you can make smooth
transitions between notes by sloping them up and
down.
its not actually as complicated as it sounds but
like i said there might be an easier way i dont
know about.

oh and btw, 4got to mention...you need a seperate
pattern to do all the event editing. paste this
pattern once at the start of the pad bit and then
in the event edit window the bar numbers
correspond to how far in the playlist each bar
will be (starting from where u paste the pattern
u are using) so that u know when to raise and
lower the volumes....
...god that makes absoloutely no sense. sorry. oh
and i have FL3 so it is probably different in
studio.
good luck

send everything into the piano roll and let the
notes sustain just a bit more over the next one.
this should do the trick. you don't need to open
different channels to do this.
enjoy!
