well I finally got my hands on FL 5.0. The two
main things about that I think are big
improvements, are the sytrus, and the autmotion
clips.
the sytrus synth sounds awesome. much better
than any of the other fruity plugins. It's
pretty damn complicated to use though. I just
started messing with it today and I can tell you
I've got a long road ahead until I can create
some patches to my liking. Some of the presets
are great, but I just don't like using other
folks sounds. I'd rather make my own even if the
sound like somebody sticking a trumpet up to
their ass.. (sorry for the graphic analogy)..
yeah automation clips seem pretty cool, but I
haven't gotten around to messing with them yet.
That was always one proccess I thought was a
little overly complicated and awkward in FL.
anybody else using FL 5, got some thoughts to
share?

I also use 5.0 It is my first experience with FL
so i can't compare with other verions but i like
it very much. I know FL for about 4 weeks and i
can make a beat and sometimes a good melody.
The automations are indead very nice and usefull,
if you can work with it. I also have to work with
it.
I once made a song only with the sytrus plugin.
Very nice i think. My only good song i've made
There is only one disadvantage on the sytrus and
that is when you use a lot of sytrus sounds, the
CPU rate goes very high, even when you have a
very powerfull soundcard like the creative audigy
card

Sytrus rocks my socks. I use it almost
exclusively - I've even made my own synths from
it.
