How to copy an entire pattern to another?

Baddox	Date: June 2, 2005 @ 3:55 PM Does anyone know how to copy an entire pattern (all channels in a pattern) and paste it onto another pattern, essentially to create two identical patterns. I want to do this for a drum pattern, so I can change the second pattern a bit for a fill. I could just redo everything for the second pattern, but it's fairly complex so it would be easier to just copy the entire pattern and change it a bit. Whenever I try to copy from one pattern, switch to another pattern, and paste, it just pastes the data from whatever channel was selected.
horusrogue	Date: June 2, 2005 @ 6:32 PM i think it may lie in layers - i am not sure of the details, i am most liekly wrogn though. what version of fl you using? I would create paino rolls out of every chnnel and use them. much easier, but still doesn't solve your problem.
jtorius	Date: June 2, 2005 @ 11:56 PM there should be an option to copy the whole pattern. I think its in edit or something, not sure, but I do this often. I copy the whole pattern and select an unused pattern and ctrl v to the area i want
AutobotBeats	Date: June 3, 2005 @ 12:58 AM theres such an easy way to do that. Simply Clone the entire patern. On the same Window of the Plasylist Bar. You will see a line of icons on the Same title window of Playlist. Click on the first one. You'll see a drop bar of Edit, Tools, Paterns, View,Zoom. Click on Paterns/Clone selected. The Patern that will be cloned or double will be the one u have selected in playlist. So if you click on Patern 3, and u clone it you'll see Patern 3#2 or something like that.
pog	Date: June 3, 2005 @ 5:04 AM In between the pattern and the pattern name, there's a little green button that indicates which track you're working on. Left click on the green light, and it should light up all of the patterns. Ctrl-C to copy.... then go to the pattern you want and Ctrl-V to paste.
