hey on fruity loops i can make drums but its alot
of hassle. the way i do it is i make up a track
that is 64 beats i think and save that in the
project part under realistic. i make another and
save that and continue till i finish a song. i
then open up audacity and import all the tracks
and line them up etc which can take ages. my
question is, is there anyway i can make a whole
drum track for songs and only need to import it
once to audacity?

you need to learn how to use the playlist.. FL
would indeed be a huge pain in the ass if you had
to make tracks the way you just stated.
once again, I will explain how patterns work.
when you open up the step sequencer (the window
with all the buttons that you program your beat
on) it displays one pattern. you can make many
different patterns, and arrange them in the order
that you want them to play, in the "playlist"
so.. you'll notice that at the top of the screen
somewhere on the transport, there is a little
dial that tells which pattern you're on. when
you finish programming pattern one, switch to
pattern two, and make another.
then go to the playlist window, and you can place
a little block that will represent pattern one or
two. arrange as many of those blocks as you want
in whatever order you want.
at the top of the screen, there's also a little
button that says pattern, or song. click song
when you want to playback the patterns in the
order you've arranged them in the playlist, or
pattern when you want to hear just the pattern
you're working on..
and there you have it..

We sewriosly need a mod to install a quick F.A.Q
for this forum:
Mainly it would go like this:
Dear new user of FlStudio etc,
We respect your wish to learn. The first step in
this process, is called
"RTFM", which, simply put, tranlates to:
READ THE FUCKING MANUAL.
I am now done.
