live FL setup..

monkvolcano	Date: July 28, 2005 @ 3:30 PM so fellow electric musicians.. I've been looking through this catlogue from zsounds.com, and it got me thinking, what equipment could i get make a live FL set up so I could actually get some gigs around town? there was come cool shit in there, I was thinking maybe i could hook up a laptop one of those portable firewire mixers and my midi keyboard. . i'm also considering getting a turntable. should i play guitar with my stuff? that just seems so weird, sitting in front of an audience playing guitar with a computer. but what to do from there. . what parts of the music should I program, which parts should I do live? i've thought of a couple of things. maybe I could make a song where layered patterns are playing simultaneously in the playlist, and i could fade diffirent parts in and out, then tweak some filters and various effects... maybe throw some scracthing over it.. I was actually thinking that coffeeshops would be a good venue. People would be sitting and listening as opposed to dancing around and what not.. so.. any bright ideas?

monkvolcano	Date: July 29, 2005 @ 3:48 AM i discovered live mode after i posted this, and i think it's pretty cool. i enjoyed using it quite a bit. it gave the track a more live feel.
