hi y'all, i'm a newbie to fruity loops, I wanted
to know if I could import .wav files into this
program. If I can't with this program, how can I?
Also how do i get the 'piano roll' kind of thing
to section off a drum beat that i want to create?
thanks

Importing a wav...
under 'Channels', choose 'Add one', and select
'Sampler'...
click the new 'Sampler' channel, click the folder
icon, and grab your sound from there...that's how
I do it anyway
I dont utilize the piano roll much, cant help you
there.

right click on channel and click on piano roll;
is that the one you're talking about?

first off you can drop all your sounds into your
packs folder which is under data in your FL file
(c:\program files\image-line if your got fl5)
this is where i drop all my sounds (making your
own folders to categorize your new sounds is a
nice idea as well
. theyll show up when you run
FL)
if youre trying to section of a beat (not too
sure what you meant but..) in the piano roll
there are some tools at the top left. you can
select portions of what you want with the little
dotted box looking one. if you want to section of
a part and hear it over and over again you can
double click above the notes and highlight a
portion of the roll
