whenever i make a song, it turns out to be trance
=/ what are the methods of making it into
hip-hop/rnb? Or what are the elements of hip-hop
n rnb?

you're asking a very subjective question. ask 3
people and you'll get three different answers.
may i suggest that you forget about genre and
just make the music. if it's good and expressive
it won't matter what genre it is.

^^
trance usually has drums that are pretty
consistant and straight forward. aka kick on 1
and 3 snare on 2 and 4 while a hat follows
underneath it. try expirimenting with other types
of patterns. for example allowing the second kick
drum to land on 3 and a half or 2 and half.
as far as leads go, um, hip-hop/rnb isnt really
synth orientated
so use piano, heavy bass, etc
and just get a nice groove goin
hope that kind helps a little

DNB is usually very high bpm chopped up beats.
RnB is very slow off beat kinda following the
vocals(or the other way around). There are also
hip hop and drum and bass samples and presets,
which might help you in your dilemna!

Originally, hip hop was sample based break beats.
Download a "funky drummer" wave file and play
around with it in the fruity slicer.
