hmm... can't say I've had the same problem with
the imp-350. The buffer is 8MB on the sucker so
even if your bitrate for you mp3 was 256 kbps
you should get 4 minutes worth of antiskip
buffer. The CD audio buffer was a flat 45
seconds with the option to change it to 120
seconds but the compression made it sound assy.
You DO need to let the buffer fill before
jostling it. I never had any skip problems with
iRiver players after the imp-100. Even the
ChromeX does fine for walks now and that only
has a 2 MB buffer.

But daymn, this contradicts all the good reviews
I heard about them. Oh well, I guess it's kinda
hit and miss since some people rave and some
people complain. Crap time to end this message
before I share my bad experience of a portable
with Mambox who is even shittier with their
shitty piece of shit. Hell if I was to push for
a review of their HD player it would be moreso
of a pinata bashing party of the damn thing's
durability... hmmmm...
**goes back to Circuit City out of 'mp3 player
durability paranoia' and gets a 50 buck warrenty
for his player... juuuuuuuuuuust in case

I, along with many others, hold iriver in light
of being a great company with a great goal.
Although their players are costly, their
uniquity in appearance, style, and function is
quite reasonable compared to the competitors.
