Guitar
Valley Arts guitar tuning issues

I am in urgent need of information about my
Valley Arts guitar.....I have a gig tomorrow!!!!
I have Custom Pro with a locking Kahler
vibrato........
I love it......and have had it since 1992
The original strings were heavier as I recall
(11's or maybe even 12's) and when I put 10's on
it, the springs on the bridge had to be adjusted
to lighten the tension for the lighter strings.
(The guys at Worldwide Music did the adjustment)
I have used GHS Boomer 10's on it since I
replaced the original strings.
I have always had great luck with the guitar
staying in tune...........such a nice bonus to my
wonderful sounding beauty
Unfortunately, I recently replaced the strings
and I cannot get it to stay in tune to save my
life........
My question is: What brand and gauge of string
was the guitar designed to use?
Thank you so much.......I'll be looking for your
reply

maybe your strings aren't stretched out yet.
strings are strings, guitars aren't "designed" to
use a certain type of strings.

Ok..thanks.....
It's been about 2 weeks since I've restrung
it....I'd think they'd be stretched by now....
Maybe you're right though

brands do make a diff.
as
says bend the hell out of 'em
tune it to as close as it will go.
On each string put one hand on the 10th or 12th
fret and take your right(left hand) and pull up
almost to breaking the string, many many times .
"repeat on each string re-tuning after each" if
it still wont stay in tune the tremlow/vibrato
springs will have to be tightend/losend. (going
flat= tighten="tighten 1/4 or less each screw and
try again" sharp=losen same senario. Untill it
works
Sometimes the locking tremlos just go out of
wack! ask me I know
one good hint is even if you
don't use it...use it HARD it keeps everything
working if it's gona work.
I hate GHS
I use D'Addario
Although used to love ernie balls.
I feel for guitar GHs is crap great Metal Bass
string thats my
