posting covers

greendayfan2	Date: March 30, 2005 @ 11:56 PM hey, am i allowed to post covers here? or is that not allowed? and, how do i show its a cover, and im not claiming to be my own? (sorry if this gets posted twice, my comp is messing with me.
Woof	Date: March 31, 2005 @ 1:35 AM Yes. You can post covers here. DMusic has aquired the necessary licenses for us to be able to do that. The cover has got to be all your own work, though... no hijacking samples from an artists' CD or stuff like that... and as far as labelling whether or not it's a cover song, a lot of artists seem to do that so that listeners don't get the wrong impression, and think that the artist wrote it themselves... nothin worse than being told what an amazing songwriter you are, only to have to confess that it's somebody elses' work...
