I accidently unplugged my computer, then turned
it back on, but forgot to unplug my firewire 410.
Now I have the fast blinking blue light, the
computer does not recognize it. I tried updating
the drivers, shutting down, re-plugging the
device, etc. I think I need to put the install
disk in and re-install, but.... I can't find the
disk. I don't know what to do, I'm afraid I
killed it.
Help!

hi mate ive got a pretty similar box ,,cant
remember what name it is
anyways ive experienced
the same hassles ..ive found the drivers you need
..you have to uninstall b4 re-installing
,,apparently for some weird reason it dont work
if you install over a current installation ,,so
get rid then start from scratch with these
drivers

yep, pretty sure I killed it. System profiler sez
I have a working firewire port, so thankfully I
didn't fry that. I thought a new cable might
work, nope. Still can't find the disk, I've had
this happen before, but the disk install
worked..... oh no.
