real player

robbydadrummer	Date: February 16, 2004 @ 5:31 AM EWWWWWWWWWWWW... RealPlayer is one of the worst resource killers on a computer. You will be better off setting Windows Media Player, WinAMP or MusicMatch as the default for most of your media. Pull up the program you wish to use, select "Tools" or "Options" on the menu bar, then select "Options" or "Settings". Select the "File Types" you need it to run... MP3 and M3U files especially when streaming audio from websites...

Rodrica	Date: February 16, 2004 @ 3:13 PM I had to change to WMP coz Realplayer screwed up. The problem is when you want to go to certain other (unmentionable) sites...they dont use WMP - they use Realplayer. So I've had to instal both on the computer and assign them accordingly
robbydadrummer	Date: February 16, 2004 @ 5:01 PM Yeah, understand that. I wish a few other sites would move away from RealAudio. Many have already. I never bothered putting RealOne on here after my last reformat... I hate the format too much.
Cryxan	Date: February 16, 2004 @ 6:05 PM If I come across a site that requires Real, I don't play any of its media. It's almost as bad as the sites that use IE-specific scripts so they don't display properly in better browsers.
robbydadrummer	Date: February 16, 2004 @ 6:57 PM Fortunately, being on cable gets me past having to use RealPlayer since almost every site streams mp3 for the hi-speed users. The only site I know that doesn't is GarageBand. Oh, and Primetones.con (still trying to get our account deleted off there after 3 weeks and 5 emails now... bastards!)
