AOIRA Cheers Andy M" id="84837">Ever heard of AOIRA? ...
thought not. Well
basically it stands for Association Of
Independent Recording Artists and it's aim is to
give the independent community an alternative to
the dreaded RIAA.
To quote from their site "Our goal is to provide
independent musicians world-wide with information
to help make educated and informed decisions
regarding the business of their music.".
At the very least it's worth a look although it
is still very much in it's genesis. I'll leave it
up to you to decide on the merits or pitfalls
with such a movement.
