Need pro drum sounds - any advice?

I record with Cakewalk, and use soundfonts. all
the mixing in the world can't seem to make these
work that great.
can anyone recommend an awesome program? or drum
machine? or sound font that can work for indie
rock and acoustic?
Thanks!

I don't like using soundfonts much myself.
Anyway, I'll probably be looking more into
getting all the Plugsound kits, even though
they're somewhat expensive. You should probably
look around more on KVRAUDIO.

We've had previous discussions on this recently
... for example...

Stylus RMX is the best. It is however a total
memory hog. I use it and get the sounds I want
and then freeze the synth. But the included
sounds and loops are incredible, not to mention
it has the ability to break down each loop into
fragments of sounds and includes a program to
make your own mixes. I love it.

Most of these programs are memory hogs, BFD,
Storm, DFH and EZ Drummer are all memory hogs,
some of these programs do not stream from hard
disk, they load up into RAM.
Btw - Saint's suggestion was for an Intakt
samplert module, there are other sampler modules
for Intakt, Halion, EXS24 etc samplers that are
good too.
