Strangest musical composition I.E. mixture of scales, number of different scales used, time signature, overlapping time signatures, heterogeneous genre splicing (metal and country: verse-metal, chorus-country) or just putting both genres together, whatever it is that makes it weird. We could start a contest/thingy to determin which is the strangest...or everyone could just post links to their songs

wailingmiserere	Date: February 14, 2006 @ 11:25 AM I like slightly odd time signatures. One of my new songs ('Furies') features a mix of 3/4, 6/8, 5/4, 7/4 and 4/4. 'Glittertind' is entirely in 7/4, 'She Loved A King' is in swing 5/4. I know using interesting time signatures is not in itself particularly weird, but I think it is for the style of music I write (mostly acoustic, singer-songwritey stuff).

100thmonk	Date: February 16, 2006 @ 2:10 PM i think that there are plenty of unsunusal things here on dmusic.. halaka, and hike hock, and of course the minister of scissors and crew!! oh you sweet princesstastybud.. most of my weirdness is softened by large doses of cheese. as a matter of fact that is a sort of compositional imperative for me. it's much like being black in an all white school, and trying to sweeten the spoonfull of poo that people seem to have swallow every time they look at you. you need to reach deep into your most sweetened, sacharine self and give people the most appetizing portions of yourself, so they forget the fact that your an ugly paki/nigger/chink/jew..
