And um... right, pirates. Just like how the so-called "pope" is so-called "catholic." No Mr. Pope, you can't fool me. You're Jesus in disguise and you still owe me 5 bucks! GIMME! You bastard! GIMME!!! One day, I will rule you, Jésus Crístos. Una día. Damn, slipping into mode of... español. Must go a la... français ou peut-être anglais! ACH! Got to leave!
-S to da S" id="1736">Ever heard Pretty Hate Anthem by Marilyn Manson? If you listen well, at the very beginning, they're yelling, "We hate love! We love hate!" over and over. It's cool.

For what, Ange, so they can pocket the same percentage of money they've been pocketing? So the industry can maintain complete control of every copy and perhaps gain control of every listen?? So the same 1/10th of a percentage of talented musicians can ever become successful???
Why do we need to pay the RIAA? Why can't we pay the artists directly? Like you, I wanna pay to help support the artists, but evidently, unlike you, I don't care much for supporting Hilary's shrimp cocktails.
You can consider them an upstanding ally if ya want, but actually, imo, Frawg isn't too far off when he calls them "a bunch of greedy, stubbon, fucked up, whoring, back-stabbing sons-of-bitches." If they were simple businesspeople tryin' to make a buck, I could respect that. But they're not. They're money-grubbing whores who keep up to 90% of the income. The sooner we realize that the RIAA needs to be superannuated in favor of an RA(rtists)AA or sump'm like that, the sooner some of us'll be able to hop off whatever fence we happen to be on." id="1773">"So if anything, my beef with the recording industry is that they aren't letting me pay them."
