Hi

Helloe, everyone listen to all my stuff and tell
me what I could do better please. I only have
one song out now that I made sort of in a few
hours just to practice rapping. It hurts my
throat to rap, and I'm afraid I won't be able to
but together the songs that I have written. I
made a short song that isn't really serious in
order to practice to see what I could do about my
throat. Any suggestions?

In the military for cadence calling (shouting
during the marching) they always told us to eat
lemmons. I don't know how effective that is, but
they said it would keep us from getting sore
throats. Drink lots and lots of water.
Try the
lemmon thing I guess, don't bash it before you
try it.
I don't know much about critiquing rap though or
any pointers. Goodluck with your throat and
welcome to Dmusic.com!

Thanks for the advice. Sadly, lemons are one of
the thing that I'm not suppose to eat because the
citric acid in them gives me acid reflux and
damages my esophogus. I'm going to the doctor to
get a telescope shoved down my throat soon
though.

A ggod vocal coach would probably be cheaper than
a doctor and perhaps, more effective in
addressing your problem. Besides, if the kind of
"-scope" a doctor is putting down your throat is
a "tele-", it's time for a new doctor!

I'm going to a vocal coach right now. She's 100
clams per month and she teaches me singing that's
very different from rapping. I don't know what
it is about rapping that hurts my throat when
with regular singing, I'm fine.
