MELANCHOLIA - by BOWILLIE and LISE
I collect crumbs of love and gather them in my
broken heart;
Once again I cry tears of disillusion.
I lean against a waterfall of sorrow,
Feels like an iceberg to me,
And I stumble over and over again...
I've flirted with melancholia and dealt with the
strife
And it feels like I've been waiting all my life
For a glimmer of tenderness...
Falling to the ground, I think I've prayed for
the very first time!
Why must I hum this song of wavering rhyme?
Why should I sustain my bloody wounds?
Why is fate dead set against my bruised soul?
I've flirted with melancholia and dealt with the
strife
And it feels like I've been waiting all my life
For a glimmer of tenderness...
I keep feeling rushed and flustered like an
unfinished song,
Oh why do the birds still merrily sing when
things in life go so wrong?
I wonder where I belong,
Coz I've been trying for so long...
I feel held in my pain,
Sobs shaking my frame...
I've flirted with melancholia and dealt with the
strife
And it feels like I've been waiting all my life
For a glimmer of tenderness...
