Well I heard the news
Because you told me where it’s at
I thought we were gonna keep it simple
Well this is anything but that

Two stories and one outcome
10,000 miles apart
It always seems to be this way
Out here where reason’s off the chart

I guess I don’t know how to talk
I guess I don’t know what to say
Never seems to be the right time
But I don’t say it right anyway

Talking can be a real chore

The good Lord gave me two feet too
