DADDY'S LITTLE GIRLS
The first was born with skin so fair,
Deep blue eyes and light brown hair
The resemblance of his loving wife
Another blessing in his life
Another bundle he would hold
Sweet as pie and pure as gold
This little brown-eyed princess
Would put his patience to a test
The last is a treasure
Of that he is sure
His sweet little Pokahonis
"My Lord what a gift?"
Three little girls to share his world
How can he ask for anything more

Thanks Rhyan for the comment. But he did get the
boys, Just never wrote a poem about them yet.
They are mentioned in my book. The idea for the
poem came from a picture of us. It was the only
picture that had my dad alone with the girls. If
I knew how I would post that picture. it's an
old black and white pic.
