David Bowie - Space Oddity.

Hi, I've just finished recording my cover of
'Space Oddity' by David Bowie, hopefully you've
heard of it. This version is a little different
as I have added some lead guitar in the intro and
improvised the solo in the middle. Well to be
honest, all the lead is improvised - I always
feel like changing things a little rather than
imitating the whole song. The recording quality
is slightly better than my other ones but I'm
still not sure how to get rid of those wierd
hisses and background noises - I am using my
computer microphone to record everything except
the electric guitar (effects pedal). This is
probally one of my better recordings so please
take a look and tell me what you think.

Hisses can just be removed with eq such as a
shelf or notch for the higher frequencies (or
just rolling off depening on what it is) although
that can also remove a bit of brightness
depending on the level of hiss (although granted,
some mixes have too much brightness to begin
with) yet you can also add a bit of air
afterwards; background noises are a bit harder
depending on what they are.
One of my own favorites is actually "Ashes to
Ashes", which I've been watching the video of a
dozen times today.
Anyway, I'll have a listen in a bit...
