Hip hop has been revolutionized by the recent surge in the popularity of the mix tape. In today’s technologically savvy society, almost anyone with a computer, soundcard, and mic can consider themselves an artist in their own right. Because of this ease of accessibility to the necessary tools to record music, the hip hop world has been flooded with many who consider themselves artists, making it even more difficult for the talented few aspiring to be artists to gain credibility. Artist after artist manifests himself increasing the void between artists and audiences. Some, however, however have superior level of talent and know the business well enough to fight the clearing forces presented by the mass influx of so called artists and truly establish themselves. All Cards Valid is a group of artists who does just that.
ACV is a group of over ten emcees who have been gracing the industry with their hip hop sensibility and know-how, which is then coupled with their professionalism to make them a group on the rise. ACV has not isolated itself from the mix tape game; in fact, ACV has embraced it, releasing their debut project, a mix tape called Straight Flush. ACV’s talent is not restricted to the single mix tape as ACV has blitzkrieged the mix tape fame in the last year. ACV has been on over 60 mixes in the last 12 months in the some capacity. DJs from across the nation include tracks and freestyles from ACB members such as Jade Foxx and Syc Omega on their mix cds.
The buzz surrounding ACV is gaining more and more momentum. DJs, fans, and other artists are all showing respect for the hip hop sounds that come out of ACV. ACV has made a name for itself after opening for artists such as Nas, Jay Z, Mobb Deep, LOX, Busta Rhymes, The Fugees, and others.
Through its members such as Jade Foxx, Phantom, Esco Jackson, Syc Omega, Faylah, Rich Famous, Kristyle, Sneeze, B-More, Taya, Gigz, Madison, and captain Wiz Haffa (a.k.a. Soundwave), who is the ACV captain. ACV has demonstrated its skills on the mic through a variety of tracks.
