HELP!!

wuz ^ ppl....ive been having a problem with iuno wut for quite some time rite now...the problem is that i use Adobe Audition 1.5, and when im ready to record vocals, the white line thats moves with the recording, moves slower then the vocals itself, so when im on beat in my headphones, im off beat when i play it back, and i cant jus adjust the vocals, becuz it goes ahead the beat not behind...so if anyone has encountered this problem, or if they have any suggestions on how to help me i would really and stronly appreciated it... thank u!
