freddemillio	Date: June 10, 2007 @ 10:54 AM I definitely agree that Crystal is pretty awesome and even more so when you consider that it is free/donation-ware. And the other two that LQM mentions are also great and free. But it is tough to say what is the best. There are jillions out there that are free and just waiting for you to download them and do something creative with them and LQM gives one of the best sources, the KVR website. Go there, use the search function (you can specify free stuff) and you will get a list that will keep you busy for days. Another free one that is pretty awesome and worth signaling is the Karma modular synth. You can also use it as a modular fx unit. http://karmafx.net/ Have fun.
leedsquietman	Date: June 10, 2007 @ 2:30 PM Hey Fred Yes, the ones I mentioned were suggested because they're free and relatively good but yes, I couldn't state these were the 'best' because as you correctly state there are so many out there and everyone has different tastes !! I happen to like those ones and Karma is also a great suggestion, also mda products are pretty good too
