Anyone into 3d art?

jaypbaker	Date: July 27, 2007 @ 2:59 PM Just wondering if anyone here uses 3d for their album/band art, or just for fun. I use Carrara, Poser, Persistence of Vison, Lightwave, and many more programs as a hobby and to use as band art. If anyone here does, I'd love to see their work ~

Complicated, but awesome I like the Model, lots of possibilities there I'm still just a novice at it as well, but love messing with different programs. This one was done using a bitmap of me and, using a process of height bump mapping, 3d rendered in Ray Dreams Studio (predecessor of Carrara) This one is all Persistence of Vision, a nice free program that has been around since the beginning of 3d finally one that was done in Poser 6 and Carrara Studio 4 pro Kinda cool. I'm trying to get good at it, to make more band art

jaypbaker	Date: August 7, 2007 @ 4:46 AM TheTimbreWolf - nice! I like the top2 best, but the sims are gettin it on so it counts! Distilled1 - I know there are more than a few, but the two I have used and like are Persistence of Vision ( Awesome prog, but no gui, only scripting. It will, however, teach a lot about 3D if you work through the tutorials) AND... Blender. Blender is GUI, and is the failed 3DO gaming companies engine, so it can teach a lot about making 3D games. It is GUI, but I think it's a little overcomplicated. Both are free, do a web search for the program names and check em out

Those are some pictures of what I did there. All made using 3DStudio Max 7. The keyboard in the second picture is the same keyboard that's in the third picture. The third picture has a skylight there for some good measure to make it look a little better lighting-wise.
TheFearDrone	Date: January 15, 2008 @ 2:12 AM I use Lightwave, 3DsMAX, Zbrush, and Photoshop. Does anyone know if Poser integrates well with Zbrush?
