Hi i may be mising something really easy here but
for the life of me cannot wrok this out. I have
put markers in my mix and saved my prject using
wavelab 4.0, but i cannot seem to burn it onto
cd. I have tried everything but it doesn't seem
to be there. Also if i create markers will these
come out as separate tracks once i do burn it
onto cd. I need this as i am doing a demo and
want to put breaks inbetween tracks instead of
having one big song. Then people can flick
through the mix more quickly and get to hear the
end bits.
Also how do you save the mastering effects as
everytime i shut the program down and then reload
it, the mastering effects are gone
Obviously i am a new user so these mistakes may
be elementary but they are very frustrating
Cheers

I don't use wavelab to burn mixed sets.
I take the large wave and make a Cue file for it.
then burn it with EAC. The result is an Audio CD
with a set of tracks on it without breaks
inbetween them.

I don't use wavelab, but one method would be to
mixdown/export between each marker as an
individual track in wav format, then use any
burning program to burn the tracks off without
the 2 second gaps.

Oh my god you lot do things the hard way.
Use Wave lab by all means.
Cool Edit is better.
Save your mixdown to ONE file, any format, if
Wave file (*.wav) then great, just burn the wave
onto a CD with something like Nero.
Waallaahh you done.
You need Cool Edit? send me an email address I'll
get it to you.

You have to RENDER the effects in Wavelab to burn
with them, Wavelab is cool in that it allows you
to select mastering effects non-destructively
(this means unless you use the RENDER function
the original file is not overwritten, this saves
destroying a wave file with a bad one where the
effects make things worse) but you hear the
effects for doing an A/B comparison. When you are
happy with the results, click on RENDER and it
will then apply those effects to the .wav file
permanently.
Try reading the .pdf file help instructions in
Wavelab if you do not have a manual this will
tell you how to use markers.
